In July and in the first seven months of this year, Dubrovnik recorded record tourist results. According to the initial data from the city’s Tourist Board, Dubrovnik was visited by 12 percent more tourists in July than in July of last year, totaling nearly 106 thousand, who achieved 452.5 thousand overnight stays, which is 17 percent more.
Such increases in July were primarily contributed by foreign tourists, who accounted for the majority of arrivals and overnight stays. There were 14 percent more of them than in the same month last year, totaling 101.3 thousand, and they achieved 19 percent more overnight stays, totaling 435.1 thousand. Domestic tourists in Dubrovnik this July were 15 percent fewer than last year, with around 4.5 thousand achieving 17.4 thousand overnight stays, which is 14 percent less.
Significantly better than last year’s tourist physical traffic in Dubrovnik is also recorded for the first seven months of this year, during which nearly 310 thousand tourists visited the city, an increase of 11 percent, while 1.14 million overnight stays represent a 14 percent increase. Foreign tourists, as in July, were in the majority, achieving an increase in arrivals of 14 percent and overnight stays of 17 percent compared to the first seven months of last year, while domestic tourists and their overnight stays were 12 and 18 percent less.
