Prime Minister Jadranka Kosor and her Slovenian counterpart Borut Pahor have agreed on the direction for resolving the issue of Ljubljanska Banka in Bohinj, reports hrt.hr
Starting today, experts will work on developing a solution that is expected to be presented to the public within the next three months. They will adhere to three principles – they will respect the succession agreement and Croatia’s completion of negotiations with the European Union by the end of this year, and they will not violate individual rights. We have determined the direction for resolving this issue and assume that it will be resolved in the next three months. This direction will be aligned with the succession agreement, while not limiting the basic rights of individuals, said Pahor.
We have agreed on the direction we are taking based on signed international agreements and taking into account individual rights. I am confident that this will lead us to a solution, emphasized Kosor. She announced that she would meet again with the Governor of the Croatian National Bank, Željko Rohatinski.
Kosor and Pahor are confident that Bohinj will be for Ljubljanska Banka what Trakošćan was for the arbitration agreement. The method of resolving the problem has been agreed upon in the same manner, and their associates, i.e., quiet diplomacy, continue to work. They reminded that a year ago in Trakošćan, no one predicted success for them, yet the border issue was resolved. (www.hrt.hr)
