Zagreb Holding is indebted by six billion and 510 million kuna – acknowledged Ivo Čović, the CEO of the Holding, after a question from Margareta Mađerić, a city representative of HDZ, during the current hour of the city assembly.
The largest debt amounts to 900 million kuna in loans taken in 2007 for the Sopnica – Jelkovec settlement for a period of 15 years, and this loan will be repaid until 2022. – Additionally, the debt amounts to 300 million euros in bonds in London – added Čović. When asked whether the Holding should and will take on additional debt, Čović, in the style of Milan Bandić, replied that ‘everything depends on the ambition of the City Administration and the Holding’.
