The Municipal State Attorney’s Office in Koprivnica has raised indictments against Zdravko Šestak, Darko Marinac, and Darko Šketa, reports hrt.hr
Šestak and Marinac are accused of failing to act with the care of a good businessman in May and June 2007 in Koprivnica, with Šestak as a member of the management board of Podravka and Marinac as the president of the management board of Podravka, during the agreement and approval of a loan to another company, and that they – without regard for the property interests of Podravka – approved a payment of five million kuna to another company in the name of the loan, thereby causing damage to Podravka.
The defendants Zdravko Šestak and Darko Šketa are accused of having, in early April 2009 in Koprivnica, Šketa as the president of the management board of the company “Sloga” d.d. (a shoe factory now in bankruptcy), and Šestak as the president of Podravka’s management and a member of the supervisory board of “Sloga”, knowing that “Sloga” was on the verge of bankruptcy and that any encumbrance on the property would reduce the possibility of satisfying its creditors, and with the aim of subsequently securing the repayment of the loan of five million kuna, concluded an agreement to secure a monetary claim by establishing a lien on the properties of “Sloga”.
