The LNG terminal on Krk will start operating no earlier than 2017, and this delay could mean that its fate is uncertain, writes the portal novilist.hr
Officially, from Adria LNG, a consortium currently consisting of German E.On Ruhrgas, Austrian OMV, French Total, and Slovenian Geoplin, they reveal that they have revised their business plans, according to which LNG in Omišalj can start operating no earlier than 2017, instead of, as originally planned, in 2014. Novi list unofficially learns that the consortium director Michael Mertl is leaving his position and returning to Germany, što will be officially announced at the end of the month. It is unknown who will, if anyone, succeed Mertl. Mertl was in Omišalj on the island of Krk yesterday with his associates, where he came to say goodbye to the municipal leaders and thank them for their cooperation so far. (www.novilist.hr)
