Croatian Post won second place this week in Copenhagen in the finals of the ‘World Mail Awards’ competition, which is awarded to the best postal operators worldwide, reported Croatian Post.
For the awards, which were given in 11 categories, more than three thousand applications were received from around the world, and Croatian Post won second place in the ‘Restructuring’ category out of a total of 191 member countries of the Universal Postal Union. The award in the ‘Restructuring’ category recognizes postal operators who have significantly changed their operations with the aim of achieving better business results and improved customer orientation. This includes, among other things, streamlining operations, optimizing resources, and introducing new services alongside the modernization of traditional ones, according to Croatian Post.
The awards ceremony is organized by Triangle Management Services, a leading global company for analyzing the global market of postal, courier, and logistics services, and the winners are selected by an international expert judging panel. Noting that they were nominated for the first time this year in a competition that has been organized since 2000, Croatian Post emphasizes that the nomination itself shows that Croatian Post stands ‘shoulder to shoulder’ with the best postal operators. They believe that second place is a confirmation of the expertise and experience of employees and the projects and improvements implemented so far in the operations of Croatian Post. In support of this, they cite the excellent business results this year, namely 33.6 million kuna in profit achieved in the first four months, as well as a reduction in operating costs of nearly 2 percent.
