For the second consecutive year, the entrepreneurial strength of the Municipality of Pitomača will present its companies and operations at the Exhibition, which, according to the organizers, will have a strategic role in promoting the Podravina region in the future.
Producers and entrepreneurs from the Municipality of Pitomača will gather this Friday, June 18, at the second Product and Service Exhibition Pitomača 2010, aiming for better mutual connectivity and organization in appearances at other fairs and economic gatherings, organized by Tehno-hr (Hrastico), the Association of Craftsmen Pitomača, the Municipality of Pitomača, the Tourist Board of Virovitica-Podravina County, the Croatian Chamber of Economy, and exhibition sponsors. At last year’s first exhibition, 68 exhibitors presented themselves, and this year, nearly double that number is expected. In this area, there are a large number of companies and crafts whose production is based on industrial herbs as well as other agricultural crops, along with the processing and marketing of finished products. This primarily involves the cultivation of chamomile, tobacco, lavender, the production of teas and medicinal herbs, the cultivation of wheat and corn, the production of machines for processing raw materials, the production of greenhouses and the crops grown in them, as well as the production of packaging. The exhibition will be held in the Cinema Hall in Pitomača and will last until June 20, and in addition to presenting exhibitors, the three-day event will be rich in content such as an art exhibition, a strukli competition, and tastings of various Podravina gourmet delicacies. The last day of the exhibition is also the day of the Municipality of Pitomača, so the organizers expect around 5,000 visitors. (J. G.)
