Next week, on June 15 and 16, the German-Croatian Economic Forum will take place in Zagreb, the largest gathering of entrepreneurs from both countries to date, with over 250 participants.
As part of the forum, contract signings are planned, including in the areas of infrastructure and tourism. This is the result of efforts to ensure that this year’s forum yields concrete results. – We believe that this year we are writing a new page in the history of Croatian-German friendship in order to jointly move towards new opportunities. Indeed, the interest of German entrepreneurs is growing as Croatia approaches EU membership – said Ambassador Bernd Ficher at a press briefing.
He emphasized the advantages that Croatia offers, including knowledge of the regional market. – Croatian companies have long been present in the former Yugoslavia. Moreover, for a small country, Croatia is surprisingly present on the global stage. All these factors stimulate the imagination of the German business community – concludes Ficher. From Germany, the Parliamentary State Secretary of the Federal Ministry Hans-Joachim Otto, the Chairman of the Committee of the German Economy for Eastern and Southeastern Europe Klaus Mangold, and about fifty representatives of German companies are coming. – With the Economic Forum, we are sending a clear signal that the German economy is very interested in investing in Croatia, especially in the construction of public infrastructure and in industry and agriculture, – emphasizes Mangold.
