Perutnina Ptuj – Pipo Čakovec, a member of the Perutnina Ptuj Group, today presented new distribution vehicles in Čakovec, with an investment worth 6.5 million kuna.
As stated in the company’s press release, this completes the modernization of the distribution chain after previously investing in two new and modern distribution centers in Zagreb and Zadar, as well as the most advanced chicken meat packaging line in a controlled atmosphere. The new fleet consists of 23 modern distribution vehicles that will establish a continuous cold chain, from technological lines to store shelves.
– The food segment is a very sensitive topic today, which we are aware of in our company. Therefore, our investments are focused on implementing the most advanced technologies in production processes, thereby guaranteeing constant top quality of our products – said Predrag Šegović, director of Perutnina Ptuj – Pipo Čakovec, adding that the new investment completes the domestic vertically integrated production system of Perutnina’s products Made in Croatia.
The importance of the investment was also confirmed by Roman Glaser, president of the Management Board and general director of Perutnina Ptuj, who emphasized that vertically organized production chains will continue to be a strategic priority for the Perutnina Ptuj Group in all markets. He stressed that ‘two million Perutnina consumers are aware of the quality of its products,’ which they prove daily through their purchases. Therefore, further investments, he added, will also be directed towards improving production technologies as well as all processes that are in any way related to supply at all levels,’ the company’s press release states.
