Presented the Bank Branch of the Future

One of the leading European software companies, Asseco South Eastern Europe, presented the bank branch of the future for the first time at its fifth regional conference, New Banking Vision, in Umag.

This is an integrative solution developed last year, which is planned to be implemented in all 51 branches of Privredna Banka Beograd by August. The system “Experience”, with implementation costs per branch ranging from 50,000 to 100,000 euros, was showcased at the conference to representatives from several Croatian and Slovenian banks.

Aleksandar Milošević, project manager from Asseco South Eastern Europe, emphasized that the primary purpose of this hardware-software package is not to reduce the number of employees in branches but to enable them to spend less time on administrative tasks and to be more client-focused and sales-oriented regarding banking products. – The essence is to change the role of employees in the branch, allowing technology to enable them to be more active in selling to clients instead of being burdened with paperwork, counting money, and administration – said Milošević. Indeed, all routine tasks in this branch of the future are performed by self-service devices.

Additionally, within the IT solution, there is the possibility for the bank to issue cards with an embedded RFID chip that allows for client identification immediately upon entering the bank, so that a specific offer for that individual is displayed on the monitor in the bank. The card can be exclusively identification-based, or the RFID chip can be integrated into a banking magnetic or chip card.

Asseco’s solution has licensed IBM models that are globally applied in 200 large banks. – Those who do not license it rely on their experience and the market practices in which they operate. If we had relied solely on our experience, we would have an excellent solution for Serbia, Bosnia, Macedonia, and other countries where we had installations. This way, we gained breadth as if we had worked with two hundred banks on five continents – stated Milošević. (Marija Čekada)
