Fina Awards Golden Balance to Most Successful Companies

The Financial Agency (Fina) awarded the Golden Balance to the most successful entrepreneurs in each sector at the Fina Forum, ranked based on 11 financial indicators across five categories – profitability, liquidity, indebtedness, activity, and efficiency.

Fina has awarded the Golden Balance for the second consecutive year, an award given to the most successful entrepreneurs selected based on strictly defined economic and financial criteria. The award ceremony was opened by the CEO of Fina, Mato Regvar, who emphasized that a quality balance sheet equals quality business. ‘This award is important because it demonstrates the real quality of a company’s operations through five criteria in 11 categories,’ said Regvar. Professor Lajoš Žager from the Faculty of Economics pointed out that the quality of business is more important than volume, highlighting that most winners are small and medium-sized enterprises. If the structure of small enterprises could be mirrored in the volume of large ones, it would be ideal, he stated.

The company Zagrebinspekt d.o.o. received the award for the most successful company according to financial rating in 2009, as well as the award in the category of the most successful companies in professional, scientific, and technical activities. The award was received by director Zdravko Sertić. He emphasized the high education level of 67 employees, of whom 58 are co-owners whose earnings depend on the company’s results.

Among other winners, the most interesting is the company Ce-Za-R d.o.o., which is engaged in metal recycling. In addition to being the most successful company in its sector, it also protects the environment, having removed 22 thousand wrecked cars from Croatian roads this year alone. In the agriculture, fisheries, and forestry sector, the winner was Agrokoka Pula d.o.o. The winner in the mining and extraction sector is Solana Pag d.d. In the supply of electricity and other energy sources, the winner is Termo Servis d.o.o. In the construction sector, the most successful is Gabing d.o.o. The wholesale and retail trade sector was won by Planika obuća d.o.o., while in the accommodation and food preparation sector, the winner was Maslinica d.o.o. Microsoft Hrvatska d.o.o. won in the information and communication activities. (Zlatko Salahović)
