The international conference MIPRO 2010 dedicated to information and communication technology, electronics, and microelectronics was opened on Monday in Opatija.
The conference, which lasts until May 28, will gather around a thousand participants from 30 countries with papers in the field of ICT activities addressing various issues related to the economy, education, science, large systems, and public administration as well as local self-government. By integrating different areas of ICT applications into a single whole, MIPRO has been achieving significant synergy effects for more than three decades and offers pathways for the progress of society as a whole, not just its narrow segments. With eleven consultations/conferences, three round tables on current technological and social topics, two specialized workshops, three continuous education seminars, an exhibition of the ICT industry, and a series of accompanying events (book and magazine promotions, cluster meetings, and working group meetings…).
MIPRO offers its loyal participants a wide range of current topics and is also a central place for networking among ICT professionals from this part of Europe. The key concepts of this year’s MIPRO conference are nanotechnology, e-sustainability, digital television, regulatory framework for entering the EU, communications, networking, management, and education, noted Prof. Dr. Sc. Petar Biljanović, chairman of the international program committee of MIPRO 2010.
