As we have already announced in the new issue of Lider and subsequently confirmed in the company’s official statement, adriatica.net is entering the second round of restructuring with a new management team.
The biggest news is the arrival of tourism expert Tomislav Popović as the CEO of Atlasa, coming from the position of director of the Istria Tourist Board, while Vlado Lučić (former director of Atlas Travel) and Tomislav Vintar were appointed at the Supervisory Board meeting as members of the Management Board for incoming and outgoing operations, respectively. Tomislav Vintar will also be responsible for the development of the online business of the adriatica.net Group. The former CEO Davor Bajić will take on the role of the head of Incoming operations of the Group and will continue to serve as the director of the company Kompas in Croatia.
The second round of restructuring also involves the integration of all agencies in Croatia under Atlas, in Slovenia under Kompas, and in Serbia under Jolly Travel, with the Slovenian Kompas expected to develop an international network with ID Riva from Germany. To complete the restructuring, Agrokor (currently owning 20 percent of the shares) is expected to become the majority owner through a purported new recapitalization. Negotiations are reportedly underway with the EBRD, which would provide fresh capital, and adriatica.net would gain a significant player for growth potential and one day international leadership.
