Nestlé Adriatic announced today that it is voluntarily withdrawing Cap Colombie and Espresso instant coffee from the market, a specific type of Nescafé instant coffee packaged in a distinctive 100-gram glass jar wrapped in black foil.
These products are available in a limited number of stores in Croatia, according to the statement. Some of these jars are prone to breakage during delivery and may therefore contain glass shards, Nestlé Adriatic emphasizes. They also highlight that no problems or complaints regarding these products have been recorded in Croatia. However, given that product quality and safety are the company’s priorities, it has been decided, as a precautionary measure, to withdraw this specific type of instant coffee from all sales points, the statement notes. They also mention that the issue occurred exclusively with this distinctive packaging and that the packaging will be changed before reintroducing these types of coffee to the market. (H)
