Croatian Post is in the finals of the prestigious award given to global postal operators – the World Mail Awards, it was announced by HP. This is the first time that Croatian Post has been nominated in this competition, which has been organized since 2000 and is often referred to as the Oscars of the postal industry.
The award is given in eleven categories, and Croatian Post has been nominated for the "restructuring" category. In this category, the Lebanese and Russian postal services are also in the finals. The award in this category is given to postal operators that have significantly changed their operations with the aim of achieving better business results and a stronger focus on customers. This includes, among other things, streamlining operations, optimizing resources, and introducing new services alongside the modernization of traditional ones.
The judging panel will pay special attention to the extent of the changes, the speed of their implementation, and the effective use of resources available to the postal operator. Such changes were initiated by Croatian Post in 2008, prompted by serious operational issues and significant financial losses, and it underwent a much-needed process of reorganization and restructuring, the statement says. The awards are organized by Triangle Management Services, a leading global company for analyzing the global market of postal, courier, and logistics services. They will be awarded during the World Postal Congress, which will take place in Copenhagen from June 15 to 17.
