When asked what fashion accessories are in this season, the best response is to counter with a question. But what is not in, considering the array of details, accessories, and styles that creators have offered us is quite colorful and diverse? The recognizable floral patterns have not been abandoned by the largest fashion houses even in the upcoming season, so colorful dresses and thin scarves are back in fashion. Thus, very ‘in’ are African jewelry, massive necklaces with various ethnic motifs, robust bracelets inspired by exotic places with tiger and animal patterns, large rings with green, blue, or pink stones on the index finger, striking earrings, and all the details needed to achieve the spring tribal look, known in fashion terminology as ‘tribal look’. Givenchy and Gucci have particularly promoted these in their collections.
Lingerie as an Accessory
Since women’s and men’s spring collections are made from airy and lightweight materials in pastel and soft colors, the role of accessories is even more important, meaning that decorative minimalism alongside clothing simply does not pass this season. In the fervor of designing and enriching spring creations, Dior, Jacobs, and Nina Ricci have particularly stood out by bringing lingerie to the forefront, giving it the function of clothing. Therefore, bolder trendsetters will be able to freely walk around in an expensive bra over a silky blouse or a plain printed t-shirt, paired with jeans or some other sporty garment, as recommended by creators Chloe and Alexander Wang. The same goes for panties that are freely ‘worn’ over leggings as a decorative accessory. While the women’s outfit will be complemented with metal or wooden earrings, sequined bags, or crystals on necklaces, the men’s collection is expected to feature lighter materials such as leather bracelets, caps with studs, as well as rings, backpacks, and wallets.
The Return of Retro
It should be noted that high heels remain an imperative for a well-groomed woman and that one does not go shopping without them. Implicitly, clogs of all colors and patterns have also received the green light alongside platforms. In the first sunny days, the male trendsetter population will appear in Roman sandals in black or white and earthy tones, and for an evening out, these timeless shoes can look quite festive if adorned with studs and crystals.
After a long winter of grayness, especially continental people will enjoy the bright spring days. The market is flooded with retro-designed sunglasses, especially those with white frames inspired by Vogue’s models from the seventies. However, other shapes of large-lensed glasses in various colors, especially purple, will also carry the label of trendy spring items. Bags are always a contentious detail of every season, whether to carry large or small ones. With a simple combination, you cannot go wrong holding a large bag, but with striking jewelry on and a playful outfit, it is certainly advisable to stuff everything necessary into a smaller bag with simple lines.
Nautical Stripes
The combination of clothing, footwear, and jewelry is regularly accompanied by a well-styled hairstyle because with a bad one, even the best ‘outfit’ falls flat, so the return of forgotten slicked hairstyles is very interesting. During fashion weeks, models have walked the world’s runways with completely wet hair, so gel is making a comeback in toiletry bags as a ‘must-have’ for creating slicked, sticky hairstyles. With such hairstyles and the return of higher temperatures, stripes have also announced their ‘comeback’. Denim and nautical styles are favorites among creators, so a striped shirt and a tight denim mini skirt are recommended for a Sunday stroll, as well as denim trousers with interesting ethnic accessories. Regardless of lightweight clothing materials, belts have not lost their place, so it is desirable to accentuate the figure with a belt. It is a real hit when highlighted with low bulky bracelets on both arms. When it comes to accessories, anything goes – the only trap is not to overdo the combinations in the colorful array offered to us.
