Serbian entrepreneur Ranko Mimović and his company FIA Electricity have formally begun to acquire the former Varaždin Fima, thereby indirectly taking ownership of 10.6 percent of Podravka’s shares deposited in Malta, reports hrt.hr.
A statement from Varaždin has reached the Zagreb Stock Exchange, stating that a contract for the acquisition is to be signed on May 11. Mimović had previously announced his intention to invest around 400 million kuna to service Fima Ami’s debts to the Hungarian OTP Bank, with his company becoming the owner of Podravka’s shares.
