A 292-Meter Long Network of the World Unfurled on Stradun

Visia Dubrovnik 5D Teatrum, a new tourist attraction in Dubrovnik that will commence operations in mid-June, has developed the Network of the World on Dubrovnik’s Stradun – a creation of peace, understanding, and tolerance, a creation that will continue to evolve in virtual form as part of Visia Dubrovnik 5D Teatrum.

On Stradun, filled with children and tourists, a 292-meter long Network of the World was unfurled, through which Croatian children sent messages of peace to the world today. The network made of plane trees features four messages of peace: „There is no way to peace. Peace is the way.“, „Do to others as you would have them do to you!“, „Let peace and beauty reign!“ and „Be the change you want to see in the world!“; over the past month, children from 11 primary schools in Dubrovnik and Zagreb painted it. Dubrovnik schools specially prepared musical and literary performances on the themes of peace, love, and kindness for this occasion, and to complete the experience, Croatian singer Carla Belovari joined in sending messages of peace with her voice and performance of „Give Peace A Chance“  by John Lennon.

The further development of the concept will involve all visitors to Visia Dubrovnik 5D Teatrum, who will continue to support the idea of peace, kindness, and understanding by imprinting their hands and choosing messages of peace in the virtual creation of the Network of the World. The entire concept is planned to be nominated for the Guinness World Records as the creation with the largest number of participants. Visia Dubrovnik 5D Teatrum opens in mid-June, and besides the creation of the Network of the World, it will innovatively combine elements of amusement parks like Disneyland with elements of contemporary museums, and with the help of top-notch 5D and Virtual Reality technology, will take future visitors of Dubrovnik through the history and cultural features of Dubrovnik and Croatia in a very exciting way, as stated in the announcement.
