At www.DanKarijera.com, the second virtual job fair for students and young professionals organized by the MojPosao portal has started today. The fair will last until May 12, and job seekers have the opportunity to get acquainted with about fifteen companies and educational institutions through a site that functions as a 3D application.
In this way, as highlighted by project manager Jurica Šarčević at today’s opening, they will be able to easily inform themselves about the exhibitors and the positions offered, avoiding the crowds characteristic of traditional fairs. At the same time, from today until next Wednesday, May 12, round tables will be held at three Zagreb faculties. At the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing, the Faculty of Economics, and the Faculty of Science and Mathematics, workshops will be held for students where human resource management experts will discuss ways to improve their positions when job hunting. – After the first virtual job fair in November 2009 attracted over 30,000 unique visitors, MojPosao is expanding the project and this year is organizing a virtual fair where, in addition to employer booths, visitors will also be able to view booths of educational institutions, noted project manager Jurica Šarčević. On the first day, a round table will be held on the topic ‘You have become a bachelor (baccalaureus) or a master of profession – does this mean your education is complete?’. The 2nd Virtual Career and Knowledge Day is organized under the auspices of the Ministry of Science, Education and Sports, the Ministry of Economy, Labour and Entrepreneurship, the City of Zagreb, and the Ministry of Tourism, in partnership with student associations eSTUDENT, HSA, AEGEE, and ELSA.
