Slobodna Dalmacija reported a loss of 3.9 million kuna in the first quarter of this year, an increase in loss compared to the same period last year when it amounted to 2.37 million kuna, according to data from the unaudited, unconsolidated financial report of the company published on the Zagreb Stock Exchange.
Total revenues of Slobodna Dalmacija in the first three months of this year amounted to 39.88 million kuna, a decrease of 13.5 percent compared to the same period last year. The majority of revenues relate to sales revenues, which decreased by 12.8 percent to 38.15 million kuna. The company reduced total expenses in the first quarter by 9.7 percent to 43.79 million kuna. Operating expenses were reduced by 11.2 percent to 42.25 million kuna. Material costs recorded a decrease of 17 percent to 19.2 million kuna, while personnel costs were reduced by 5.1 percent to 16.6 million kuna. (H)
