Today, the Money Market reported slightly lower demand than yesterday, but the average interest rate has increased slightly, reaching 0.82 percent.
Demand for money today decreased by more than 14 percent, to 127.3 million kuna, while the supply increased by the same amount, reaching 227.3 million kuna. Most of the transactions consisted of overnight loans, which amounted to 72.3 million kuna. Meanwhile, the interest rate rose from yesterday’s 0.56 to 0.65 percent. A loan of 5 million kuna was also approved for a term of three months, at a price of 3.3 percent. Despite the unused supply, 50 million kuna of demand remained unmet, which is 30 million less than yesterday.
The total turnover on the Money Market today amounted to 77.3 million kuna, and the average interest rate increased from yesterday’s 0.7 to 0.82 percent. “On the last working day of this week, trading reported slightly lower demand for short-term loans compared to the previous day. Although there were unallocated kuna in the supply, the demand was not fully met due to the utilization of limits by potential creditors towards loan applicants,” states the Money Market announcement.
