Net profit of Tankerska plovidba in the first quarter of this year amounted to 18.3 million kuna, a decrease of 45.5 percent compared to the profit from the same period last year, according to the report from the management of Tankerska plovidba published on the Zagreb Stock Exchange.
Total revenues of Tankerska plovidba in the first three months of 2010 amounted to 270.2 million kuna, što is 0.7 percent higher than in the first prošlogodišnjem tromjesečju. At the same time, expenses increased by 7.3 percent, to 251.8 million kuna. The management announced in the report that the company intends to maintain the existing level of investments in its core business – shipping, and by the end of 2012, it should increase its fleet to 24 ships, with a total capacity of over 1.7 million metric tons. It is also announced that investments outside the core business will continue, but at a somewhat slower pace, which, as stated, will largely depend on the speed of recovery of the Croatian and global economy.
