Thirteen Winners of the European GreenBuilding Award for 2010

The European GreenBuilding Award for energy-efficient non-residential buildings was awarded for the second time in Frankfurt on April 14, as part of the European Light Building fair and the IEECB’10 conference (Improving Energy Efficiency in Commercial Buildings).

All projects submitted to the National Contact Points of the GreenBuilding program between January 2008 and October 2009 participated in the competition for the European GreenBuilding Award 2010. Projects that were awarded at national competitions in nine European countries were evaluated by a five-member jury according to agreed quantitative and qualitative criteria. Among them, 13 outstanding projects were selected in the following categories: best supporter, best corporate partner, best energy renovation projects, and best new building projects. The award ceremony was organized by the Austrian Energy Agency (AEA) as part of the GreenBuildingplus project, funded by the Intelligent Energy Europe program, according to the statement.
