Zagreb County will allocate 1.9 million kuna in 2010 for donations and assistance to associations and cooperatives of agricultural producers, as well as to cities and municipalities for the implementation of projects in the fields of agriculture, rural development, fisheries, and hunting.
The competition for the allocation of the mentioned funds is open until May 14, 2010, or in certain cases until November 15, 2010, according to a statement from Zagreb County. Donations to associations will be awarded for education and presentations of agricultural producers, for improving product quality, introducing new technologies, establishing a beekeeping pasture registry, developing fisheries, and for economic events and promotions. The competition is intended for associations of agricultural producers, fish breeders, producers of traditional products, and machinery rings registered in the Register of Associations of the Republic of Croatia, operating in the area of Zagreb County. Donations to cooperatives will be awarded for improving product quality and introducing new technologies, while assistance to cities and municipalities in the county will be allocated for organizing economic events and promotions. The maximum total annual amount of county monetary donations and assistance for the current year that a single user can obtain is 150 thousand kuna.
