This Week’s Most Traded Share of Zagrebačka Pivovara

On the Zagreb Stock Exchange during this shortened working week, as the exchange is closed today for the Easter holidays, the regular turnover was just over 91 million kuna, with the most traded share being that of Zagrebačka Pivovara, and the stock indices recorded a slight increase.

Crobex is up 0.23 percent compared to the end of last week, finishing the working week at 2,145.72 points, while the value of the specialized index Crobex10 rose by 0.44 percent to 1,158.36 points. The shortened holiday week brought the usual trading rhythm, but despite one less trading day, the weekly turnover is higher than the previous week, and the official stock index Crobex also shows an increase, as noted in the weekly comment from the Exchange. In four days of trading, the total turnover amounted to 141.8 million kuna, of which 91.1 million kuna was achieved in regular trading.

There were quite a few corporate news items, but they mainly revolved around quarterly financial reports of companies, announcements of annual meetings, and some reshuffling of treasury shares. The news that the IGH Institute completed the process of acquiring 100 percent ownership of Geotehnika Engineering and 80 percent of the Project Bureau left the market more or less indifferent. However, the news that Zagrebačka Pivovara proposed the item “withdrawal of shares from the Exchange” to the agenda of the meeting prompted a swift market reaction. This week, Zagrebačka Pivovara broke into the top of the most traded shares, surpassing even the shares of HT, and with all the trading dynamics, its price increased by almost 4 percent.

This week, the shares of Zagrebačka Pivovara achieved a turnover of 20.7 million kuna, and its price rose by 3.84 percent to 3,791.30 kuna. Investor interest in the shares of Zagrebačka Pivovara was attracted after the announcement of the main meeting of the company, which will be held on May 12, where, among other things, the proposal for the withdrawal of its shares from listing on the Zagreb Stock Exchange is on the agenda. Following in turnover are the shares of HT, with 13.7 million kuna, and its price rose by 1.12 percent to 324 kuna. In terms of price growth, this week, shares of Liburnia Riviera Hotels stand out with an increase of 18.85 percent, and shares of SN Holding, whose price rose by 23.06 percent.  (H)
