At today’s press conference, Marin Tadić, General Director of Oracle Croatia, presented Oracle’s traditional conference ‘The Information Age 2010’, where the latest technological achievements and news related to Oracle products will be showcased to users and partners.
The fourth ‘The Information Age’ conference will be held on April 13, 2010, at the Sheraton Hotel in Zagreb, in collaboration with partner Hewlett-Packard. – The ‘The Information Age’ conference has already become a traditional gathering of ICT professionals from Croatia and the region last year, and this year it will be held for the fourth time. As before, our partners and users, as well as guests from the industry and media, will receive comprehensive information about new Oracle products and services. This year, the focus will be on Oracle Exadata, the new version of the data storage solution, and Sun Oracle Database Machine, an integrated hardware and software platform for the Oracle database – stated Marin Tadić, General Director of Oracle Croatia and host of the conference.
The new platform, consisting of Oracle Exadata, the new version of the data storage solution, and Sun Oracle Database Machine, an integrated hardware and software platform for the Oracle database, offers performance several times better than existing platforms without the need for application adjustments, with advanced forms of compression that allow for a tenfold reduction in required disk space. It is the best infrastructure for both data warehouses and transactional systems.
