The Swedish car manufacturer Volvo Cars has been sold by American Ford to the Chinese Geely for 1.8 billion dollars. The contract was signed at Volvo’s headquarters in Sweden in Gothenburg, reports hrt.hr.
Volvo Cars, the largest Swedish car manufacturer, separated from its parent company Volvo AB in 1999. It was sold to Ford for 6.4 billion dollars, more than four times the 1.8 billion USD for which the American company sold it to Geely, reported several economic newspapers. (hrt.hr)
