Fima Propriusa Stock Rises 12.5 Percent

After a solid start this morning, trading on the Zagreb Stock Exchange is once again sinking into lethargy as there are no economic news to awaken greater optimism among investors.

The Crobex index at 12:00 PM stood at 2,137 points, što is 0.13 percent higher than yesterday. During the morning, it was also up by 0.5 percent. At the same time, Crobex10 reached 1,152 points, recording a gain of 0.54 percent. The regular trading volume was 8 million kuna, što is approximately at the same level as yesterday at this time."Trading started solidly this morning, but now the domestic market is sinking back into lethargy, and Crobex gains are melting away. Given that there are no new domestic economic news, especially not positive ones, it is likely that part of the positive sentiment is spilling over from global exchanges. However, there is still no improvement in liquidity", says Roman Rinkovec, broker and investment advisor at the investment company Credos.

The most traded stock is T-HT, which achieved a turnover of 3.6 million kuna. Its price rose by 0.37 percent to 319.83 kuna. Among the millionaires, the preferred stock of Adrisa also made the list, with a turnover of 1.4 million kuna. It increased by 1.48 percent, standing at 286.5 kuna. Following in terms of turnover is the stock of Atlantic Group, which achieved around 800,000 kuna, and its price fell by 1.35 percent to 689 kuna. In somewhat greater focus for investors is the stock of Fima Propriusa, with a turnover of 650,000 kuna and a price jump of 12.5 percent to 26.73 kuna. Among today’s business news, the announcement of the regular general assembly of the Sugar Factory Viro for April 29 stands out, where shareholders will decide, among other things, on the proposal of the Management and Supervisory Board to allocate last year’s profit after taxation of 3.5 million kuna to retained earnings. At the same time, approval will be sought for the company to repurchase its own shares up to 10 percent of the share capital, for which it can use funds from retained earnings.

The lowest price of the shares should be their book value, while the highest should not exceed five percent of the average market price of the shares during the five working days prior to their purchase. This decision would be in effect for 18 months. Currently, the shares of Vira are trading at a price of 365 kuna, što is 0.22 percent less than yesterday. So far, it has achieved a turnover of 110,000 kuna. On European exchanges, the most important indices are currently up between 0.5 and 0.8 percent, and U.S. futures indices also indicate a positive start to trading, as investor concerns about the Greek debt crisis and uncertainty regarding the reform of the U.S. healthcare system are easing.
