– I am surprised and shocked that the Management Board of the Croatian Automobile Club has made a decision regarding my dismissal, especially after a successful business and financial year, during which we launched some new projects and resolved issues such as customs vehicles – stated Tomislav Družak, the former Secretary General of HAK.
The Management Board accused Družak of violating the Statute, exceeding his authority, and failing to execute decisions, and appointed Zvonko Šmuk, Družak’s former assistant, as the new Secretary General at today’s meeting. – I have performed my duties honorably and conscientiously, I have never exceeded my authority or violated the Statute, so I would ask the Management Board to clarify the reasons for such accusations. The role of Secretary General is extremely complex, given the overlap of various interests, I have tried to be a link, but now I must admit that in a way, a weight has been lifted off my heart. – concludes Družak.
