The Split construction company Constructor Engineering has expressed interest in acquiring the Construction Company Dubrovnik, which is expected to go into bankruptcy due to a debt of 168 million kuna.
According to a letter sent by the director of Constructor d.d. Željko Žderić to the company PGM Ragusa, the majority owner of the once largest Dubrovnik construction company GP Dubrovnik, Constructor will make every effort to ensure that GP Dubrovnik meets its obligations to creditors, especially to workers, and that all ongoing projects are continued and completed on time.
The letter also states that restructuring of GP Dubrovnik should be carried out so that the number of currently employed 350 workers is reduced in accordance with the volume of work, to between 200 and 250. (H)
