Rohatinski will testify about the Hypo group

The Governor of the Croatian National Bank, Željko Rohatinski, will testify about the operations of Hypo Bank in Croatia before the investigative committee of the parliament of the Austrian federal state of Carinthia, Austrian Der Standard reported, as conveyed by the portal hrt.hr.

Four parties represented in the Carinthian parliament decided at an internal meeting yesterday that a total of 70 witnesses will be invited to testify as part of the major investigation into the Hypo group before the committee in Klagenfurt. Among them are former Austrian Finance Minister Karl-Heinz Grasser, representatives of the Austrian Central Bank, the Financial Market Authority in Liechtenstein, former and current members of the management of the Hypo group, Carinthian state attorneys, and a number of politicians. The testimonies will begin on March 25. Governor Rohatinski and the head of the Financial Market Authority of Liechtenstein, Michael Lauber, will testify on April 14 and 15.  (www.hrt.hr)
