The leather footwear factory “Borovo”, operating within “Borovo” d.d., presented today as part of the autumn-winter 2010/11 collection 500 models of leather footwear, of which 250 are new and 30 models of rubber and rubber-canvas footwear.
According to the words of the CEO of "Borovo", Mirko Ćavara, the company has maintained last year’s positive results in the domestic market in the first two months of this year, while in Slovenia, the sales of footwear increased by more than 150 percent compared to last year. "We are proving that we can achieve good results even in times of crisis," Ćavara stated."New models have led to the ‘rebranding’ of the ‘Relax’ program, and we have realized that rubber boots are increasingly present in the fashion market, so we have expanded the entire offer with the ‘Startas – rubber footwear’ program," said the director of Leather Footwear "Borovo", Husnija Burić. He noted that the new models are priced to cater to the middle and lower purchasing classes while insisting on a well-known brand and design, commercially and acceptably appealing to a larger number of customers. According to company data, in "Borovo" 200,000 pairs of leather and 180,000 pairs of rubber and rubber-canvas footwear are produced annually. In 159 stores, which make up the retail network of "Borovo" in Croatia and Slovenia, approximately 1.2 million pairs of footwear are sold annually. (H)
