The Institute of Public Finance and the Friedrich Ebert Foundation have published the Budget Guide for Citizens, a book that helps citizens understand their rights and opportunities in budget oversight, as well as their duties towards the state.
Among other things, the guide provides answers to questions such as what a budget is, what a rebalancing is, off-budget funds, how budgets of off-budget funds are financed, what types of budgets exist, and what their purposes are. – The Budget Guide encourages citizens to engage and actively participate in the budget process before making key budget decisions, communicate with authorities, ask them questions, demand the publication of necessary budget information, and public discussions – states the press release from the Institute of Public Finance. The guide is free, published in Croatian and English, and the entire content is available on the website www.ijf.hr.
