Pevec Opens in Bjelovar

Today in Bjelovar, two months after the open bankruptcy, the Pevec shopping center in bankruptcy has started operating, employing 55 workers. The bankruptcy administrator Darko Šket expects the return of customers who, due to the closure of the Pevec shopping center, were unable to purchase numerous items at favorable prices.

As announced, on March 5, the Pevec center is expected to open in Zadar, where 45 workers will be employed. The workers of Pevec in Bjelovar expressed satisfaction with the reopening of the business center. The workers received one average salary, and it is expected that the issue of other arrears could also be resolved in the near future. The bankruptcy proceedings against the Bjelovar company Pevec, which comprises six shopping centers, including those in Bjelovar and Zadar, were opened at the end of last year, and so far, 470 creditors have filed claims. The exact amount of the debt will be known after the examination hearing scheduled for the beginning of March. For the Pevec company from Zagreb, which has eight sales centers, bankruptcy was opened in early February, and the bankruptcy hearing is scheduled for May, after which the total debt of the company should also be known.
