The company Uniline today signed a franchise agreement with the world-renowned car rental company Europcar, which means that Europcar clients from around the world can book a vehicle in Croatia, while Uniline clients can book a vehicle in the countries where Europcar operates.
– We want to offer other services besides car rental through Europcar’s extensive network, such as accommodation and excursions. It is important to mention that Europcar is also a partner of the airline easyJet – said Boris Žgomba, CEO of Uniline. Europcar is the leading car rental company in Europe. Excluding franchises, in 2008 it signed more than ten million car rental contracts, employs around 8,000 people, and has a fleet that exceeds 225,000 vehicles.
In September 2008, they partnered with the American market leader Enterprise Rent-A-Car and today represent the leading global car rental network with more than 1.2 million vehicles at 13,000 locations worldwide. – We are very pleased to have signed a contract with Uniline. Our practice in the countries where we grant franchises is to find a good partner who can turn the name Europcar into a strong brand – explained Laurent Cosse, Director of Franchises for Europe at Europcar. Uniline is one of the leading tour operators in Croatia.
The company’s headquarters is located in Pula, while its offices are in ten Croatian cities, including Zagreb. Uniline constantly employs 100 workers, and this number can rise to 200 employees during the season. Although Uniline was established as an incoming tour operator, today the company has a wide range of activities in tourism, and in the last five years, Uniline has invested significant funds in developing its own car rental brand, which was one of the leading brands in this sector in Croatia in 2009.
