In a closed session, the Government proposed to the Supervisory Board of Croatia osiguranje the dismissal of Hrvoje Vojković and Management Board member Damir Mihanović. A proposal was also made for the appointment of a new CEO, Zdravko Zrinušić, who currently serves as the Deputy CEO of Štedbanka d.d. and has extensive experience in the financial and insurance sectors.
Previously, it was decided to compensate farmers affected by business dealings with Đakovština with 18,000 tons of wheat from state commodity reserves. This will assist more than 2,300 agricultural producers, stated Prime Minister Jadranka Kosor. According to the Prime Minister, the state commodity reserves in Đakovština were damaged by 1,991 tons of wheat and slightly more than 1,000 tons of corn, which amounts to a value of 2.7 million kuna, while more than two thousand farmers were affected by 18,000 tons of wheat.
Kosor also reminded that Đakovština owes the state 50 million kuna. The money for the wheat that will compensate farmers from the state commodity reserves will be sought from the bankruptcy estate of Đakovština, and the settlement of the debt to the state will also be sought from the bankruptcy estate, explained Minister of Economy Đuro Popijač.
