The price of an hour of work for a supervisory board member should be at least 700 kuna

The price of at least 700 kuna for an hour of work for a supervisory board member is an adequate compensation for the significant responsibility required of them, according to Daniel Divjanović, president of the Association of Certified Supervisors, expressed in an interview for the new issue of Lider.

– It is important to know how much time supervision will require, and the compensation should be structured through  a fixed and variable part, which would be received at the meeting, depending on the business performance – this is his proposal for determining the compensation for work. This would create an environment in which quality individuals would dedicate themselves solely to supervision. Furthermore, he lists four criteria that a good supervisor must meet, which are to be professional, independent, and available in terms of time.  Failure to meet the independence criteria is considered the main reason why politicians and state officials cannot be members of supervisory boards.
