A continuous dialogue between the Renewable Energy Community of HKG and the Ministry of Economy, Labor and Entrepreneurship is essential to establish appropriate regulations, define procedures, and maintain regular expert meetings and round tables systematically finding models through which Croatia will meet the set goals, it was concluded at the meeting of representatives of the Community and NataĊĦa Vujec, State Secretary for Energy at the Ministry of Economy.
They noted that the projected share of renewable energy by the end of 2010 will be significantly lower than anticipated and that obstacles need to be sought in complex procedures, the absence of regulations, and the lack of part of the regulations, which makes it impossible to recognize the role of domestic producers. The Ministry expresses confidence in resolving the regulations for renewable thermal energy by April this year and a strong initiative to replace the existing regulations to simplify procedures supported by funds from the World Bank program. Furthermore, the role of domestic producers was highlighted, considering that investments of over one billion euros are expected in the sector over the next ten years. (J. T.)
