New Contracts in Estonia, France, and Sweden

Dalekovod has signed contracts for the construction of power lines and the supply of equipment in Estonia and France worth a total of 1.5 million euros, and in Sweden, it is preparing the installation of a power line according to a previous contract worth 18 million Swedish kronor, the company reported on the Zagreb Stock Exchange website.

In Estonia, in the international tender for the construction of the Baltic – Pussi power line, the contract was awarded to the company Empower, which after collecting bids assigned the supply of suspension equipment to Dalekovod. The total value of the equipment is around 300,000 euros, and the delivery deadlines are divided into two parts: April and May of this year. Dalekovod and the company Sicamex group-Dervaux from France were selected in an international tender in France for the procurement of suspension equipment for the Contentin – Maine power line. The contract is a continuation of Dalekovod’s cooperation with the French electricity company, to which Dalekovod supplies parts of suspension equipment, the announcement states. The value of the suspension equipment that Dalekovod will supply is 1.2 million euros. In Sweden, where it is already present in part of the production range of suspension and connection materials for power lines, the Zagreb company is preparing electrical installation work on part of the route of the Dannebo – Finnböle power line. The execution of the work, along with preparations this winter, will take place during the summer of this year.

This is a relatively small contract, valued at around 18 million Swedish kronor or 12.9 million kuna, but it represents a significant step forward for Dalekovod, the announcement states. According to Dalekovod, parallel to the pre-qualification process for the construction of power facilities in Norway (in 2004), the pre-qualification process for the construction of power facilities in Sweden has begun. A significant positive impulse for this project, they say at Dalekovod, came from the announcement of the Croatian Government to announce a tender for the purchase of military aircraft, with the condition of an offset program. The Swedish company SAAB has included Dalekovod in its program proposal and facilitated contacts with the state transmission system operator Svenska Kraftnat, which significantly accelerated the qualification process and enabled participation in public tenders, the announcement states.
