The company Končar Distribution and Special Transformers (D&ST) increased its net profit in 2009 compared to 2008 by 8.8 percent, to 32.8 million kuna, according to the company’s financial report published on the Zagreb Stock Exchange.
From this member of the Končar Group, it is noted that the report is preliminary, unaudited, and that there may be deviations between this and the final annual report. The annual audited report, announced by Končar D&ST, will be published within the legal deadline by April 30 of this year. According to the data from the unaudited report, Končar D&ST increased its total revenues last year by 9.8 percent, to 646.1 million kuna. Meanwhile, sales revenues, amounting to 621 million kuna, increased by 8 percent.
Končar D&ST emphasizes that the company’s exports last year increased by 19 percent compared to 2008, from 420 million kuna in 2008 to 501 million kuna last year. Exports thus account for 80 percent of sales revenue. According to the report, the total expenses of the company Končar D&ST last year amounted to 646.1 million kuna, which is 10.1 percent more than in 2008. At the end of 2009, Končar D&ST had 389 employees, which is 21 more than at the end of 2008 when the company had 368 workers. The management’s explanations also state that the company’s investment activities last year were not financially demanding, characterized by the preparation and development of project documentation for the construction of a new high-voltage laboratory for testing medium power transformers, with additional production and storage spaces. This project will mark the next two years in terms of investments, emphasize Končar D&ST.
