Toyota CEO Akio Toyoda apologized on Saturday for the recall of several million vehicles due to issues with the gas pedal, in an interview with Japan’s public broadcaster NHK.
"We are very sorry for the inconvenience caused to our customers," said the president of the Japanese company during the Economic Forum held in Davos, Switzerland. Toyota is determining the causes of the malfunction and will reach out to customers to alleviate their concerns, he added. (H)
