Not all conditions have been met for us to submit documentation to Podravka

Following frequent ‘accusations’ against OTP Bank, which does not want to provide the deposit agreement to the Supervisory Board of Podravka, forcing cooperation with the State Attorney’s Offices of Croatia and Hungary, the bank has also issued a statement.

The statement reads that OTP Bank, as the largest independent banking group in Central and Eastern Europe, applies conservative management rules that comply with international standards. As an ethical organization that respects all laws, the bank, they claim in the statement, strictly adheres to legal provisions regarding the confidentiality of business and banking data, in the interest of all business partners.

In this way, the bank acts in the case of business cooperation with Podravka. A relationship has been established with the new Management of the company, but not all conditions have yet been fully met for the requested documentation to be submitted. However, the bank has submitted essential documentation to the Hungarian authorities who cooperate with partner institutions abroad. Once all conditions are met, the bank will submit that documentation to representatives of Podravka. Therefore, OTP Bank regrets the media reports and rejects all statements or claims made by the media questioning the serious and proper operation of the bank, which is under constant supervision of the relevant regulatory bodies, the statement concludes.
