The new interim CEO of Tele2 Croatia is Vivek Sharma, the financial director of the mobile operator, Tele2 announced today. Sharma was appointed to this (interim) position by the parent Swedish Group Tele2 AB, following the announcement of the departure of the previous CEO Johan Granlund in October 2009.
Tele2 adds that Sharma has been working at Tele2 Croatia since 2007 in the position of financial director and as a member of the Management Board. Before joining the Tele2 AB group in 2005, he worked at Citibank. His interim role as CEO of Tele2 Croatia will last, as unofficially reported, until the parent company selects a permanent CEO. Although it was expected that the outgoing CEO Granlund would remain in that position at least until the end of the first quarter, he decided to leave at the beginning of this year, and therefore his interim successor was appointed.
