Avalon, a leader in the field of web hosting, has acquired one of its competitors, Fiuhost. The acquisition agreement was signed in Rijeka by Avalon’s director Tomislav Kokotić and Fiuhost’s director Elena Hranj. The details of the transaction have not been disclosed.
This is Avalon’s first acquisition of this kind, as one of the leading companies in Croatia providing web hosting services. It has been present in the market since 1997 and currently serves around 5,700 different internet domains. With this acquisition, Avalon has increased its portfolio by an additional 1,300 domains from Fiuhost. This move will allow Avalon to achieve its previously announced goal of entering the low-budget segment of the web hosting market.
“During yesterday’s signing of the agreement, we emphasized our common goal for Fiuhost to continue to develop even faster, now with the support of Avalon as a strategic partner and the financial and technical backing that we have been lacking. This partnership will enable us to accelerate development and offer new services, with a guaranteed increase in quality,” said Elena Hranj, director of Fiuhost.
