The Zagreb-based company King ICT has won three major regional projects in Serbia and Kosovo worth a total of 2.8 million euros in international tenders, King ICT reported today.
Two of the projects are related to technical security, which King ICT will carry out in collaboration with the American company L-3 S&DS (Security and Detection Systems), a manufacturer of advanced systems for scanning individuals, luggage, and cargo. The value of these two projects is 800 thousand euros, with King ICT noting that over 18,000 L-3 devices have been installed worldwide for the needs of police, military, customs, as well as all branches of public transport, state institutions, and private companies.
The third project, "EU-IT Pilot Project in the field of Education," is a two-year project aimed at improving the educational system in Kosovo through the application of computer and information technologies, which King ICT won in a tender from the European Commission’s Office in Kosovo. In this project, the Zagreb-based company is the main and sole implementer, with a total value of 2 million euros. In collaboration with the Kosovo Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, King ICT will, among other things, define the strategy for the application of IT in education, the legal framework for its implementation, and train 2,000 teachers, 300 e-learning content creators, and 600 IT support staff in the application of IT. King ICT emphasizes that this is the first such project by a Croatian company in Europe and is the result of their many years of experience in the field of e-learning and IT. (H)
