There is money, it is just a question of how to spend it. The governor would release about ten billion kuna, but not if that money will end up in consumption. However, there is currently no consensus that the funds will end up in production in sight.
Five to twelve for domestic companies has run out with a lavish and unrealistic budget for 2010. Only thanks to the new prime minister’s advisors Sandra Švaljek, Željko Lovrinčević, and Borislav Škegri is something being done in the Banski dvori, but it is no longer five minutes before twelve! Perhaps that is why their idea of a sort of intervention fund has not found fertile ground at all addresses. Partly due to the media interpretation (the final framework, tasks, mode of operation, and financing of that fund were still unknown at the time of writing), this Fund is perceived exclusively as
a rescue for struggling companies. Not as a generator of a new, necessary wave of investment.
