The shares of construction companies are primarily responsible for today’s decline in stock indices on the Zagreb Stock Exchange. Among the more liquid shares, only Atlantska plovidba recorded an increase, while it is concerning that today’s trading volume amounted to only 17.2 million kuna.
The total trading volume on the ZSE today was only 17.2 million kuna, and only four securities can boast of million kuna trading – Dalekovod, HT, Ina, and IGH. Crobex is down 1.2 percent today, closing at 2,041 points, while Crobex 10 weakened by 1.12 percent. The most traded was the share of Hrvatskih telekomunikacija with a trading volume of 4.1 million kuna and a price drop of 0.45 percent. Although it led in trading volume during the morning, Dalekovod ended the day as the second most liquid share, being part of the sector that is primarily responsible for the decline of Crobex due to falling prices.
Dalekovod finished the day down 2.19 percent (3.1 million kuna in trading), IGH plummeted by 5.39 percent (1 million kuna in trading), and Ingra by 1.82 percent (580 thousand kuna in trading). The last millionaire of the day is the share of Ina, which, with a trading volume of 1.4 million kuna, weakened by 2.1 percent. Today’s stock market lethargy can be interpreted in two ways. One explanation could be the drowsiness of investors before the holidays, while the causes of such a monotonous day could also be sought in the sale, more precisely the state takeover of the Hypo group by the Austrian government, given that the Croatian branch of this bank has quite serious investments in Croatia.
