The Minister of Communications and Transport of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Rudo Vidović, and the Federal Minister of Transport and Communications, Nail Šećkanović, visited HT Mostar where they discussed with the Chairman of the Supervisory Board of HT Mostar, Žarko Pušić, the CEO of HT Mostar, Stipe Prlić, and the members of the Management Board, Goranka Devčić, Zoran Bakula, and Davor Daraboš, about the operations of HT Mostar and the months-long blockage of work.
They particularly addressed the blockage of the confirmation of the appointment of the CEO of HT Mostar. Pušić stated at the meeting that the unacceptable behavior of some members of the Supervisory Board, who at the Board meeting on Wednesday again blocked the appointment of the CEO, was inappropriate, especially since they are representatives of the majority owner, i.e., the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and therefore had to respect the decision, i.e., the Government’s consent, regarding the appointment of Stipe Prlić as CEO. Minister Vidović emphasized that it is crucial to unblock the company’s operations as the blockage has caused immense damage not only to the company but to the entire economy. Minister Šećkanović clearly indicated that all members of the Supervisory Board must respect the decisions of those on whose behalf they sit on the Supervisory Board, in this specific case, the Government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and added that the behavior of some members is primarily contrary to the law. The meeting concluded that everything will be done to ensure that HT Mostar operates again without any obstacles. (E. J. Felić)
