Kosor: Sanader and I did not sell INA shares

The President of HDZ and Prime Minister Jadranka Kosor emphasized that during the mandate of HDZ governments with Ivo Sanader and herself at the helm, not a single share of INA was sold.

The Prime Minister commented on the call from President Stjepan Mesić for Uskok to investigate both former Prime Minister and HDZ President Ivo Sanader regarding the sale of the oil company INA. She reminded that shares were sold during the previous coalition government, and only during the HDZ’s time were shares of INA from the veterans’ fund sold. If this had not been done, the share of all veteran members of the Fund would have drastically decreased, explains Kosor. Mesić’s call for Uskok to investigate Sanader, as well as former Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy Damir Polančec regarding the sale of INA shares to MOL, is also being commented on in the Parliament. SDP representative Slavko Linić assessed that the contract for the sale of INA is poor due to the intention to buy back the gas business, on which Croatia would lose two to three billion kuna, as well as the management of that company. Linić linked INA with Podravka – behind all of this, he accuses, stands Polančec along with the mastermind. However, the President of the Parliament, HDZ member Luka Bebić, knows nothing about the whole story and thus does not see that Sanader should be a witness in this case. (www.hrt.hr)
