The company Dalmacijacement has changed its name to Cemex Croatia, it was announced today by the company. The name change, as stated, is in line with Cemex’s global practice for companies in the network to adopt the name Cemex.
Dalmacijacement entered the Cemex corporation system nearly five years ago, and the name change further confirms the successful integration of the company into the Cemex network and strengthens the recognition of Cemex as a regional leader in its industry, the statement notes. The company emphasizes that, along with the name, the company logo is also partially changing, meaning that only the Cemex logo will remain in use, thereby fully aligning the visual identity with Cemex’s corporate identity.
The CEO of Cemex Croatia, Trpimir Renić, is confident that the name change will not be a significant novelty for employees, clients, and partners, given that the name Cemex has been in constant use in the Croatian market since Dalmacijacement joined the Cemex network. “Our company is a major exporter in the region, and therefore I expect that we will further improve our position by operating under the strong global Cemex brand,” he said.
Cemex has been present in the Croatian market since March 2005 when it acquired the British group RMC, which included Dalmacijacement and Readymix Croatia. Cemex is one of the global leaders in the production of building materials, present in more than 50 countries worldwide with a total of 64 cement plants, over 2200 concrete plants, 493 aggregate quarries, and employs more than 50,000 people worldwide.
